The article is devoted to the study of professional training of rescuers in specialized higher education institutions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine under wartime conditions. The influence of recovery regimen disturbances and air raid alert signals on the functional performance of cadets is analyzed. The results emphasize the necessity of optimizing training programs to ensure operational readiness in extreme conditions.

The study examines the peculiarities of professional training of rescuers studying at specialized higher education institutions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine under martial law conditions. Particular attention is paid to the specific challenges faced by cadets during the war, including increased psycho-emotional tension, disruption of the usual daily routine, and constant exposure to external threat factors. The influence of recovery regimen disturbances, primarily insufficient duration of night sleep and forced awakenings caused by air raid alert signals, on the functional performance of cadets is analyzed.

The obtained results indicate that systematic disturbances in sleep duration and recovery processes lead to a decrease in the main functional indicators and overall physical performance. Frequent air raid alert signals contribute to the accumulation of fatigue, intensification of stress reactions, and decreased concentration of attention, which negatively affects both the level of physical fitness and the ability to effectively perform professional tasks. These factors are especially critical for future rescuers whose professional activity requires a high level of physical preparedness, rapid decision-making, and high performance under extreme conditions.

The results of the study emphasize the urgent necessity of optimizing professional training programs for cadets of specialized higher education institutions under wartime conditions. Such optimization should include adaptation of the curriculum, implementation of scientifically grounded recovery measures, as well as the application of methods aimed at minimizing the negative impact of sleep deprivation and chronic stress. Ensuring an appropriate level of functional readiness under conditions of constant threat is a key prerequisite for maintaining operational efficiency and safety during rescue operations and emergency response in peacetime and wartime.
